Jill Beharry Banta

As a consultant, I have the privilege of working with teams in an independent, non-authority role. Informed by their honest perspectives and experiences, I am endlessly inspired by the depth of passion at every level of an organization for making a difference in the world.

Talent Friend grew out of a desire to develop healthy workplaces for people who dedicate their careers to improving the lives around them. A workplace where leaders are confident the organization can be successful without their constant personal vigilance; where everyone on the team feels equally valued for how their contributions support the mission; and where trust and ownership flows freely.

Work Experience: After almost a decade in film/tv production, I started working in the non-profit, education sector in 2003. Six years later, having handled an array of administrative duties including finance, enrollment, operations, facility, and HR in private and public education, I began consultant work with schools and non-profits. In addition to consulting, I took on the founding Director of Talent role at the B Corp, CSBM/FOREsight. I developed and managed the organizational strategies for recruitment, professional development and performance management. This work helped the firm quadruple in size and earn a spot on Crain’s Best Places to Work in NYC list for three years in a row.
